Pakistan High Commission had asked the organisers of Karachi Literature Fest to convey to Anupam Kher to not apply for the visa as it won’t be approved. Now, the Pakistan Government is saying he never applied for one. Such lies and double-faced games of the Pakistani state are not surprising – but what did surprise many is the way our Adarsh Liberals and deracinated elites jumped to Pakistan’s defense and mocked Anupam Kher.
What is being deliberately twisted in most media reports is that all invitees for the Karachi Litfest did not personally apply for visas to the Government of Pakistan; the festival organizers did it on their behalf. The organizer of the literary festival, Ameena Sayid, has clearly stated that Anupam Kher was denied a visa by the Pakistani Government, most likely due to his principled stand on issues like the Kashmiri Pandit religious cleansing and Pak sponsored terror.

It is pertinent to note that 17 other participants in the Litfest from Bharat like actress Nandita Das and senior Congress politician Salman Khurshid have been granted visas. Below are a series of tweets from Anupam Kher, exposing the Pakistani and media lies –
Dear @abasitpak1, Reality remains that Pak Interior Ministry refused to grant NOC for my visa. 17 others invited also didn’t apply for visa.

In further validation, if it was needed, of Anupam Kher’s position, another invitee Ashok Chopra has decided to boycott the Karachi Literature Festival in solidarity and to protest this denial of visa.
Sensing the growing realization amongst people of Bharat about the duplicitous nature of the Pakistani State, and fearing that their backers in Bharat are getting brutally exposed, the Pakistan High Commission tried to issue a face-saving apology and made an offer to grant visa to Anupam Kher.

Thank you Mr. @abasitpak1 for your call & offering me visa to visit Karachi. I appreciate it. Unfortunately i’ve given away those dates now.

Despite all these facts which even a 15 year old could validate after spending 15 minutes on the internet, ‘reputed’ media houses and some new ‘secular’ digital outlets continue to question whether the visa was ever denied, or outright mock Anupam Kher.
Left-liberals and Islamist terror apologists in Bharat, who display deep compassion for global Islamic issues like the Israel-Palestine struggle, don’t bat an eyelid before taunting a person who stands up for his displaced Kashmiri Pandit brethren that were kicked out of the Kashmir valley in 1990/91 as a result of the systematic Islamist terror campaign unleashed there.

The hypocrisy of these elites who dominate our mainstream TV shows and pen lengthy op-eds in English dailies, regurgitating clichéd, failed ideas of Nehruvian secularism and socialism, is not lost on social media observers.
Only Kashmiri Pandits living in Kashmir should speak on KP exodus. It is not like Shani temple issue where we invite Islamists for debates

Shri Sushil Pandit, a political commentator and activist for Kashmiris expelled from Kashmir, has the final word on what drives this amazing defense of Pakistan by certain elements within Bharat –

Note: The term ‘Adarsh Liberal’ was coined last year by the Twitter handle @AdarshLiberal, and has since come to encapsulate the brand of fake liberals who constitute the current intellectual elite of Bharat. To know more about AdarshLiberals, we recommend these OpIndia and IndiaFacts articles.
