Christian Extremist and Maoist Terror Groups Deliver UItimatum To Hindus in Assam and Tripura

Here is a brief of these 3 terror organizations who have issued the threat to Bengali and Hindi speaking Hindus in Assam and Tripura –

1.) People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK)

The People’s Democratic Council of Karbilongri (PDCK) was created last year to achieve a separate independent nation for the Karbi people, by carving out Karbi Anglong – the homeland of the Karbis in central Assam. It is supported by NSCN-K (a faction of Christian terrorist group National Socialist Council of Nagaland, which wants to establish greater Greater Nagaland’ or ‘‘Nagalim’’ based on Maoist ideology and a spiritual outlook — ‘Nagaland for Christ’) and has also pledged support to the umbrella terror group United Nations Liberation front of Western South East Asia (UNLFW) launched in 2015, which was behind the ambush and killing of 20 Bharatiya soldiers in Manipur.

To understand the religious factors at play which have contributed to rise of terror groups like PDCK in last few decades, we can refer to this analysis of Census 2011 figures from Assam

Among the Scheduled Tribes of the autonomous hill districts (Karbi Anglong and North Cachar Hills), the largest two are the Karbi and Dimasa-Kachari. These two account for 5.33 lakh of the total 6.76 lakh STs of the hill districts. Of these, the latter are almost entirely Hindu, but Christianity has been spreading among the Karbi. In 2011, nearly 18 percent of the Karbi are converts to Christianity. The proportion of Christians in the hill STs as a whole is higher at 27.42 percent. This is because some of the smaller tribes in the autonomous hill district are largely Christian, as we see below. The Karbi contribute 41 percent of all Christians among the autonomous hill tribes.

2.) Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO)

According to the South Asia Terrorism Portal, KLO aims to carve out a separate Kamtapur State comprising six districts–– Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, North and South Dinajpur and Malda––of West Bengal and four contiguous districts of Assam––Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Dhubri and Goalpara.

KLO came into existence in 1995 with the help of ULFA. It maintains a string of camps in Bhutan, and has links with Maoist insurgents of Nepal (backed by China), and also receives support from Pakistan’s ISI.

3.) National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT)

The National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), is a Tripuri nationalist organisation, which aims to liberate the state of Tripura from Bharat. It has carried out numerous attacks on non-Christian tribals, Hindu spiritual leaders, and Bengali Hindus, and is accused of forcing Tripura’s indigenous tribes to become Christians and give up Hindu forms of worship in areas under their control. The NLFT manifesto says that they want to expand what they describe as the kingdom of God and Christ in Tripura. The government in Tripura says it has evidence that the state’’s Baptist Church is involved in backing separatist rebels.

Why this Hate for Hindu Bengali Refugees?

Introduced on July 19 in the Lok Sabha, the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 seeks to make it easier for migrants from persecuted minority communities (Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis and Christians) in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan to get Bharatiya citizenship. The Bill is a furtherance of the BJP’s 2014 parliamentary election manifesto in which it had declared Bharat to be a natural home for persecuted Hindus around the world and welcomed them to seek refuge.

To understand the plight of Hindus in Muslim majority nations like Pakistan and Bangladesh, one can refer to article 1 & article 2, respectively.

The new Citizenship bill has led to protests by certain sections in Assam based on the premise that Hindu Bangladeshis will overshadow the Assamese identity. But the protesters overlook two key facts: (1) As per some estimates, post-March 1971, the number of Hindu Bengalis who came in to Assam is hardly about 1.5 lakh as compared to the 55 lakh Muslim illegal migrants. (2) The Bill applies to the entire country and is not Assam specific.

Leftist propaganda sites like Wire (funded by likes of Aamir Khan, Azim Premji, Rohini Nilekani) are also up in arms agains this new bill – the notion that Bharat has a responsibility for Hindus across the world is anathema to their worldview.

Finally, the fact that these Maoist-Christian terror groups are spewing lies & hate against Hindu Bengali refugees while staying silent on the question of the much larger illegal Muslim Bengali population, shows the agenda at play.

The message from these #BreakingIndia groups and their enablers in media and academia is clear – they will not let Hindus live with dignity either in Bharat or elsewhere.

  1. Bangladeshis irrespective of religion are anyways not welcome in Assam. What is the use of deporting Muslim Bangladeshis and taking in another? Assam will suffer anyways. The indegenous people of Assam hates this decision. Assam didnot vote to give citizenship to Hindu Bangladeshis or any other minorities. You can settle them wherever you want in the country except Assam. Get that fact too.

    • Assamese r xenophobic, bill is for whole India, BT they presenting it like all Bengali Hindus from Bangladesh r coming to Assam. Assamese not only hate Bengali, they hate Bihari, marwari as well. Assamese r staying all over India and doing job, BT they used to tell kela bongal, kela Bihari … Hypocrisy
