If Bharat’s left-liberals are to be believed, a frenzy of Hindu fundamentalist lynchings of innocent Muslims has swept across the country since May 2014.
Cattle smuggling is a well-organized criminal enterprise across Bharat with inter-state and even international linkages. This beef mafia is a real terror for countless small farmers and poor villagers who often invest their entire life savings in their cattle. Combined with the economic dependence on cattle is the socio-religious Hindu bond with the cow, making this gentle animal almost like a family member for millions of rural households, just like pet dogs and cats are dear to urbanites and more ‘modern’ societies.
But in their desperate desire to prove the rise of ‘Hindu fascism’ as concomitant with the rise of Narendra Modi, our liberal intelligentsia has embarked on a vicious project to demonize ordinary Hindus. The number of cattle smugglers & illegal traders who have died at the hands of police or villagers pales in comparison to the number of innocent lives this ruthless mafia claims every year.
And while it is true that a disproportionate number of cattle smugglers are Muslims, there are some Hindus too who are involved, directly or otherwise, in this barbaric racket.
But to the credit of our dogged liberal establishment, they have done everything in their power to portray each dead Muslim cattle smuggler as an ‘innocent dairy farmer/bovine transporter’ who was needlessly targeted by blood-thirsty saffron mobs/police. Some examples of this jugglery are Umar Khan, Pehlu Khan and the latest one being Tabrez Ansari (not a cattle smuggler, but a professional burglar who was caught red-handed).
So why has ‘lynching’ become such a buzzword so much so that anti-India forces even showed up with messages to ‘stop lynching in India’ during the recent cricket world cup in UK? Are lynchings in Bharat really inspired by so called fanatical Hinduism, or just a public backlash to a serious law & order issue and apathetic law enforcement/criminal justice system?
This Dainik Jagran report informs us that 4 thieves were recently lynched to death in Bihar in a timespan of just 12 hours. In the first incident, 3 cattle/livestock smugglers were lynched to death on Thursday night by angry villagers in Pithori village, Chapra block, Saran district of Bihar. The names of the deceased – Raju Nat (30), Viresh Nat (35) and Naushad Rashid (40). One can rest assured that Raju and Viresh Nat will never gain the martyr status that was accorded to Pehlu Khan, while the family of Naushad Rashid must be cursing their luck that he was killed alongside two Hindus, else the entire affair could have been painted as yet another example of an ‘innocent’ Muslim being targeted.
On Friday morning, a mob severely thrashed two robbers who had come to loot a bank in Vaishali, Bihar – one thief, Arman (last name not known), died from the assault, while the other, Sumit Kumar, survived.
Make of it what you will, but these crimes just reiterate the fact that most Indians know deep down – till the time we have an under-staffed and ill-trained police, and a grid-locked, disconnected judiciary, vigilante justice and mob violence will continue. Adding more laws, like the much-hyped ‘anti-lynching’ law currently being proposed, is just a knee-jerk reaction while ignoring the deeper issue of police & judicial reform.
The reason lynchings have suddenly grabbed the attention of Lutyens’ elites has nothing to do with their love for law or justice, but everything to do with pushing their bigoted anti-Hindu ideological agenda.
