Human rights lawyer Hamid Sabi a representative of China Tribunal – an independent organization headed by British attorney Geoffrey Nice has accused the Chinese government of mass slaughtering of Uyghur muslims and Falcon Gong, a minority religious group for procuring their organs.
“Forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience including the religious minorities of Falcon Gong and Uyghur muslims has been committed for years throughout China on a significant scale” Sabi told the UNHRC ( United Nations Human Rights Council) on September 24.
The tribunals final report on the genocide and physical abuse committed by the chinese government cited that the government sanctioned doctors “slit victim bodies to procure their kidneys, livers, hearts, lungs, cornea and skin to market upon the organs by transmitting them into commodities for sale”.
China continues to deny the use of unethical organ transplant practices and said that it stopped using organs from executed prisoners in 2015. In a statement earlier this year, it accused the London based “China Tribunal” of fomenting rumours. The organ transplant industry is estimated to make more than 1 billion dollar a year in China according to the tribunal.
Sir Geoffrey called on the international Transplant Society and national medical associations dealing with transplant surgery to” face up to what is revealed in the China Tribunal judgement & act”.
This is not the first time China’s name came into the news for torturing the natives of Xinjiang, a Turkish minority ethnic group. China has repeatedly tortured and massacred the Uyghur tribe to maintain its hegemony over Xinjiang province. Turkey has maintained a deafening silence on the genocide of its own muslim minority in China but is very vociferous on the restrictions imposed in Kashmir, exposing its double standard and hollowness.
Even the western media and the UNHRC which is so concerned about the restrictions imposed in Kashmir are mum over this human slaughter going on for decades. Now contrast this carnage by China and the relative silence of the UNHRC on this barbarism with its cacophony on Kashmir where restrictions on internet and telecom services in the wake of Pakistani threat are being blown out of proportions.
A house panel hearing of house of representatives has fixed October 22nd as the date to assess the ground reality in Kashmir post abrogation of article 370. The hearing “will review the humanitarian situation in Kashmir and whether Kashmiris have adequate supplies of food, medicine and other essentials,” Brad Sherman Chairman of the House subcommittee on Asia, announced in Washington.
In a statement Sherman announced that Alice Wells, acting Assistant Secretary of State for South & Central Asia, would testify at the hearing. Also testifying would be Scott Busby, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labour. But they have fixed no such date for deliberating on the massive ethnic cleansing going on in China where Uyghur muslims are being wiped out in Nazi style concentration camps and their organs are being traded for monetary gains.
China and Pakistan have not only been the biggest violators of human rights but are guilty of mass murders of minorities. .
However, the UN and the UNHRC, instead of acting on these two nations for this human holocaust, chose to reprimand Bharat for imposing restrictions on internet and mobile networks in the valley to safeguard the lives of its citizens in the State of J&K.
Perhaps the peace in Kashmir is not to their liking and they were hoping for some blood shed to keep the Kashmir rant going by the pro-Pakistani US lobby.
Turkey and Malaysia which are predominantly Muslim countries have sided with Pakistan at the UN on the Kashmir issue but are mum and have maintained a stony silence on the genocide and massacre of Uyghur Muslims in China.
The ethnic cleansing of Sindhis, Baluchis, Pakhtoons, Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan where the minorities have been reduced from 23% to 3% has had no reaction from the UNHRC or the UN but their vigilantism on Kashmir smacks of hypocrisy and double standards. This vigilantism was found wanting when the Kashmiri pandits were being killed and driven out of their homes in Kashmir.
China has been standing behind Pakistan and the terrorists being produced in its terror factories apart from blocking Bharat’s entry to the NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group) and the security council. It has backed Pakistan in raising the Kashmir bogey at the United Nations even though it is responsible for the killing of Tibetans and their forceful conversion in Tibet, apart from the slaughtering of Uyghur muslims in the Xinjiang province.
The government needs to rethink its China policy and should start exposing the dragon at the world stage for its human rights atrocities without fearing its military prowess. Army’s Him-Vijay exercise in Arunachal Pradesh on the eve of Chinese President Xi jinping’s visit is a message well sent to the Chinese and it will be interesting to see if the Chinese President goes ahead with his visit.
China should also be delivered an economic blow by gradually replacing the Chinese products with made in Bharat products to give the much needed boost to the manufacturing sector, generate employment and address the large trade imbalance with China which is close to 60 billion dollars.
