Hindu factory owner murdered by employee Alam who was stalking the owner’s wife

In a case of a one-sided love affair, a Hindu factory owner in Surat was stabbed to death in front of his wife and three-year-old son by Alam and his two accomplices on Sunday 25th October reports Dainik Bhaskar. All three accused were arrested in the wee hours of Monday morning by the Surat police.

According to available information, Alam is believed to have been involved in a one-sided love affair with his factory owner Ramu Santram Goswami’s wife. Goswami owned a clothes factory in Surat’s Katargaam area and resided in Amroli with his wife and three-year-old son.

His wife had received an anonymous call a few days back and the caller had wanted to talk to one Pooja. Ramu’s wife replied that he had dialed the wrong number and hung up. However, the accused kept calling again and again. After a couple of calls, he began harassing Ramu’s wife and insisted on talking to her. Irritated, Ramu’s wife complained to Ramu about the calls. On inquiring, Ramu discovered that the number belonged to his employee Alam.

Following the discovery, Ramu personally visited Alam to knock sense into him and warned the latter that if he did not amend his ways then Ramu would file a police complaint against him. After being reprimanded, Alam did not make any phone calls for a couple of days.

However, at around 11 PM on Sunday, Alam arrived with two accomplices at Ramu’s residence. The three forced their way into the house and locked it from inside. They whipped out a knife and stabbed Ramu on his chest and stomach in front of his wife and young son. The three fled the scene after the horrific act.

Ramu was rushed to the hospital but lost his life before he could be treated for his injuries. The police arrested Alam and his accomplices Ali and Satla in the wee hours of Monday morning.
