“My husband grooms and converts non-Muslim women” : Lucknow woman

A women in Lucknow has claimed that her husband, Syed Hasnain Ashraf, traps non-Muslim women and converts them to Islam. According to her, he also gets funding from abroad for this work. In a specific example, he converted a Hindu woman named Richa and to Madiha. After investigating the victim’s complaint, Lucknow police has registered a case against the accused Hasnain and his mother.

According to the victim, she was married to Hasnain in the year 2019. Ashraf is originally a resident of Yelahanka in Bangalore City. After marriage, husband mother-in-law Shadiya started harassing and beating her. He also used to tell his wife to trap Hindu women and convert them to Islam. On protesting, she was beaten. For converting non-Muslim women, they used to get funding from abroad. The victim told that her husband had groomed a Hindu woman named Richa Pahwa, converted her and named her Madiha. With help of  Richa/Madiha, he is also allegedly engaged in conversion of other non-Muslim women. Police is investigating the matter.
