Pastors threaten temple priest for objecting to Christian prayers at a Hindu Mandir in AP

Christian evangelism in Andhra has reached such heights that pastors have been emboldened not just to carry out Christian prayers at Hindu temples but also threaten the Hindus and the temple priest who raised objections to it.

A Hindu devotee who raised objections to the pastors conducting prayers and carrying out evangelical activities in the premises of a Hindu mandir was threatened by the pastors. In the above video shared by the Hindu organization ShivaShakthi a Hindu devotee can be seen confronting pastors who are conducting sermons and Christian prayer songs at a Hindu temple.

When the devotee asks them how they can carry out evangelical activities despite knowing that it is a Hindu temple, the pastors threaten him saying they would capture his video. Undaunted the devotee continues to raise objections to their activities. The pastors, however, refuse to listen and continue arguing with him. The pujari (priest) of the temple then steps in to ask them to stop their Christian prayers.

The pastors have no answers to the questions of the devotees as to whose permission they sought to carry out prayers at the temple. The pastors further say that they are citizens of this country and have the freedom to do as they wish.

The pastors even have the audacity to ask the pujari as to why he is listening to the Hindu devotee and raising objections. They insist they are not evangelizing. One of the persons can be seen arguing with the pujari saying that we are not conducting evangelism, why are you objecting.

The Hindu devotee then tells them that if they want to sing Christian prayer songs they should do so at their homes as has been written in the Bible. When the pastors reply that there is no such thing in the Bible, the Hindus ask them have they been asked to sing at Hindu mandirs then.

This is how evangelicals operate – they first provoke Hindus and when the latter object they present it as if they (Christians) are the victims. Ever since Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh has seen a spurt in Christian evangelism besides unprecedented attack on Hindu temples.
