DMK’s A. Raja bats for Babri Masjid, illegal encroachment

That Congress ally DMK is an anti-Hindu party of crooks (involved in a number of scams including 2G) is quite well known. Their ‘love’ for everything Hindu is so much that party Chief Stalin can’t even take a few minutes to wish Hindus on their festivals but he does have plenty of time during Eid & Christmas.

From garlanding Bhagwan Ram & Devi Sita with a garland of slippers to calling Shri Rama a drunkard and asking if He was a civil engineer, the DMK has hardly blinked an eye before hurting Hindu sentiments. So the latest endorsement for Babri Masjid from 2G scam accused DMK MP A. Raja comes as no surprise.

What is Raja’s contention?

In the above video A. Raja, the UPA-1 telecom minister and alleged lynchpin of the 2G scam, makes a case for Babri Masjid citing ‘adverse possession’ rights under ‘permissive occupation’ as granted by law. As per this provision, he says if he (Raja) occupies somebody’s flat (in this case some Arulmozhi whose example he gives) for 12 years then as per law Raja would become the ‘legal owner’ of the flat.

He further says that by this ‘logic’ Babri Masjid has stood for 400 years & besides Rama was born 3 lakhs years ago; hence adverse possession would be applicable here and hence we don’t even have to go to the Supreme Court for the same. He further claims that there are no witnesses to prove ‘Rama’s birth’ but there is proof that a Masjid was constructed 400 years ago.

Flawed argument

Even a lay man would know that this is possibly the most flawed argument. First of all Raja fails to see the difference between ‘permissive occupation’ and ‘illegal encroachment’ or maybe that’s how DMK functions – grabbing people’s lands/properties given to them in good faith.

He also conveniently glosses over archaeological evidence of a Hindu temple beneath the Masjid found by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). In his hurry to make a case for the Babri Masjid, Raja forgot encroachers have no rights no matter how long they have been in possession of a land/property.

Such statements to get a few claps from the party faithful are no big deal for the likes of A. Raja, but it is the Hindus who must take important lessons from this speech. It may not hold water in a court of law but people like Raja know that Hindus won’t punish him for making such outrageous claims; otherwise he would not have won from Nilgiris LS constituency this May.

Unless Hindus stop voting for anti-Hindu crooks like Raja, their anti-Hindu rants and loot would continue unabated. Both Raja and DMK have a lot to answer and making them answerable is a task the Hindus of Tamil Nadu must take upon themselves.
