Four villagers killed by Naxals in Chattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon in just last one month!

Police said on Thursday that Naxals had killed a villager in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district. As per an ANI report, Assistant Superintendent of Police confirmed that the incident took place on Wednesday night in Khursipur Khurd village under the Bortalav police station’s jurisdiction.

According to D Shravan, superintendent of police, the villagers in the district are regularly attacked by the Naxals. He said that four villagers were killed in one last month.

It is staggering that while even a stray incident of a cow smuggler being killed by police or villagers becomes national headlines for days on end, villagers being murdered like flies by Naxal terrorists doesn’t elicit even front page news? One reason for this news blackout is that these attacks are currently occurring in a Congress-ruled state, which entitles the state government to a free pass as per the Lutyens’ media playbook.

But it points to a deeper malaise in Bharat’s mainstream media, especially the English-language media. Most top editors and journalists suffer from a deeply colonised consciousness and live in an echo-chamber created by like-minded left-liberal elites. One glance at the front page of the nation’s leading English-daily Times of India, which is more a tabloid, is proof enough. On some days, their editors deem some random news about an Indian American making it to Joe Biden’s team as more newsworthy than serious issues affecting the hinterland.

The nation’s self-righteous intelligentsia and academics have been up in arms over the jailing of Naxal ideologues and thought leaders who stand accused of inciting caste riots and planning to wage war against the state and assassinate the PM. Finally, the pressure campaign worked and one of the accused Varvara Rao was just released on bail by the Bombay High Court on ‘health grounds’.

The current system is a dream come true for Urban Naxals, i.e. over-ground supporters of the Maoist/Naxalite terrorists whose ultimate goal is violent overthrow of the Indian State to create their communist classless paradise:

1.) The media & intelligentsia is ever ready to give them cover fire in name of right to dissent, freedom of expression

2.) Many in the self-perpetuating judiciary are also more than happy to play to the left-liberal galleries and are more concerned about their self-image among their liberal peers.

3.) ‘Secular’ politics thrives on any ideology which can deepen social fault-lines and thus allow the creation of captive vote banks.

So villagers will keep dying, while Maoist enablers like DU Professor Nandini Sundar (wife of The Wire editor S Varadarajan) will continue meeting with Naxal commanders and threatening villagers to side with Naxals against the state.
