Girl Ties Rakhi to Muslim Neighbour, He Rapes Her and Sends MMS to her Fiance – Jaipur

In a shocking case from Jaipur, a girl has alleged that she was raped by a youth named Shakir whom she considered her sworn brother and to whom she used to tie rakhi. After raping her, Shakir shot an obscene MMS video of the girl and sent it to her fiance, causing her engagement to break and pushing her to attempt suicide, reported Rajasthan Patrika.

The victim’s family has lodged a complaint in Kardhani police station. Shakir is currently absconding.

After her father’s death, the girl’s family started treating their neighbour Shakir as their own son – he became the girl’s sworn brother and promised to protect her. One day he called her out on the pretext of attending some program, and took her to a hotel room. There he gave his ‘sister’ a spiked drink, and raped her after she became unconscious. He shot a obscene video of her as well.

Once she regained consciousness, Shakir threatened to make the MMS video viral and raped her again. Later he tried to extort money from her, to which the girl protested. Shakir then sent the MMS to the girl’s fiance causing her engagement to break.

All this while, the girl’s family was unaware of Shakir’s true nature and kept treating him as their son. It was only when the girl tried to commit suicide, that she opened up and confided in her family.

Incidentally, a somewhat similar incident had occurred in 2013 in Jaipur when a  16-year-old was gang-raped by 3 men – Asif, Bittu and Rafeeq – who then used a video clip of the rape to blackmail the girl, continued raping her for another 4 months and also extorted Rs 43,000 from her.
