Clinical trial of Ayurvedic remedy for Covid-19 shows far better results than allopathic medicine

An interim report on a multi-centre clinical trial being conducted on moderate Covid-19 patients at Srikakulam, Vadodra and Pune has shown that a combination of Ayurveda and Nutraceutical (medicine derived from food) is giving far superior results than traditional allopathic treatment for the disease.

As per an IANS news reportĀ –

“The interim report on a combination treatment of an Ayurvedic remedy called ‘Immunofree’ by Corival Life Sciences, and Nutraceutical called ‘Reginmune’ by Biogetica have shown exceptional results as against the present government SOP of conventional medicines for coronavirus treatment.

Furthermore, numerous tests such as C reactive protein, Procalcitonin, D Dimer and RT-PCR for novel coronavirus are also showing 20 to 60 per cent better improvement for the natural treatment, when compared to conventional treatment. Numerous subjective endpoints such as body pain and fatigue are also leaning towards natural treatment.

..Immunofree and Reginmune are being studied in a one-of-a-kind pharmaceutical controlled multicentre clinical trial in 3 hospitals, in Bharat. This CTRI-approved trial is being conducted on moderate COVID-19 positive patients at Government Medical Hospital, Srikakulam Andhra Pradesh, Parul Sevashram Hospital, Vadodara, Gujarat, and Lokmanya Hospital Pune, Maharashtra.

What sets this trial apart is the fact that it is the only time where half the patients in the trial have been given only natural treatment, which is being compared against the conventional treatment in use in India for COVID-19 patients.

…The conventional treatment in use depends on the severity of the patient and includes HCQ, Azithromycin, Favipiravir and Cetirizine. This trial also has a broader inclusion criteria than others conducted on natural medicine as it includes patients upto 70 years old, with low oxygen saturation and co-morbidities.

It is significant to note that none of the patients on the natural treatment progressed past moderate, needed ventilators or had any adverse events.

..Numerous countries and states that have adopted or mandated natural treatment for novel coronavirus have shown mortality rates less than 1/10 of their neighbours…Goa and Kerala both have 1/10th the mortality rate of neighbouring states….It is therefore hoped that Bharat too mandates the use of these herbs for novel coronavirus treatment.

“Most remedies in use for Covid-19 are repurposed anti-malaria and anti-viral drugs not made specifically for this new virus that presents itself in ways no virus ever has. We are fortunate to have gotten approval for a very specific remedy that is now showing these startling results beyond our own expectations. It is a matter of great pride for India that our ancient sciences are coming to the forefront with this new empirical evidence and showing the importance of Ayurveda in the pandemic,” Biogetica founder Apurve Mehra said.

“The results of this study thus far are startling and I hope to see people across the globe helped by this multifaceted natural remedy, which seems to apply to all who are pre-Covid, Covid positive and post-Covid. We are now approaching AYUSH and ICMR to get listed as the first herbal treatment of Covid in India, and look forward to government support in seeing this helping Indians and India,” Wockhardt Foundation founder Huzaifa Khorakiwala said.”

Ayurveda has long been on the target of Hindu-haters, who are ever eager to dismiss it as ‘pseudo-science’. Most MSM outlets take especial glee in mocking likes of Baba Ramdev who has revitalised Yoga and Ayurveda in the last decade, and launched a company Patanjali Ayurved that has given jitters to consumer goods MNCs.

In June, there was outrage by the usual suspects after Patanjali Ayurved announced that its medicine ā€˜Coronil and Swasariā€™ had shown favourable results in clinical trials conducted by National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Jaipur (a private medical college) on COVID-19 affected patients. AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) ministry then asked the company to provide full details of the study, and in the meanwhile allowed the sales of Coronil as an immunity booster.

NIMS Rajasthan stood by its study on Coronil, and even produced documents to show that necessary government permissions had been taken, and other medical protocols adhered to. While the argument can be made that Patanjali Ayurved jumped the gun on going to media, the opprobrium heaped on Baba Ramdev was beyond belief.

The Yoga guru said in a press conference, “It feels like that working in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda is a crime in India. FIRs were lodged against me at several places in a way like itā€™s done against some criminal or terrorist. People started running headlines like Ramdev will go to jail.ā€

Indeed, an FIR was filed against Baba Ramdev, NIMS and others in Congress-ruled Rajasthan. So eager are the left-liberals to bash anything remotely Hindu that they forget that COVID-19 has ravaged the entire world and even Big Pharma does not have a proven cure.

The lies and cover-ups of Big Pharma are anyway well known, but always seem to escape the vituperative censure our op-ed writers and commentators reserve for Ayurveda and other indigenous treatment practises.

For that matter, while Bharat and Hindus as a whole are derided for ‘unscientific’ acceptance of Ayurveda, Germans are spared the sanctimonious lectures despite being the home of homeopathy and giving it a privileged legal status compared to other medical systems (29% of Europeans use homeopathic medicines, as per one report). What better example of the colonization and self-alienation of our elites?

Now, with this latest multi-centre trial showing significantly better results for the Auyuveda-Nutraceutical combo as compared to allopathy, let’s wait and watch how MSM digests this news.
