Mudassir became Mohan to entrap, convert, marry & torture minor Hindu girl – Jharkhand

Mudassir Nazar, a resident of Bokaro in Jharkhand, assumed a false Hindu identity to entrap and lure a minor Hindu girl from Argoda area of Ranchi, reports Dainik Jagran.

The 16-year-old girl disappeared enroute to college over 2 years ago, and could not be traced despite her parents lodging an FIR with police. Her father even filed a petition in High Court demanding police recover his daughter.

The girl first interacted with Nazar, a disabled man with a broken leg, on Facebook. Soon he convinced her to run away from home and come live with him in Balidih area of Bokaro. There, the minor was illegally converted to Islam and married to Mudassir Nazar. She also gave birth to a child.

After conversion and marriage, the minor girl started facing torture at the hands of her ‘husband’ and his family. When things became unbearable, she ran away and returned to her parents’ home in Ranchi. Her parents immediately informed police about their daughter’s ordeal.

Police arrested Nazar from Bokaro and brought him back to Ranchi, and he was sent to jail on Sunday. He claims that the minor girl had ‘married’ him of her own consent.
