A minor girl was abducted & raped by two Muslim men, an uncle and his nephew, for 8 days in Hamirpur district of UP. She somehow freed herself from their captivity and came home on 7th June. Medical examination of the victim was ordered by the police based on the complaint of the victim’s father. Victim’s statement was to be recorded in the court on Saturday, post which the case would be lodged, as per the report in Hindi daily Amar Ujala.
According to victim’s father, the 16-year-old victim was kidnapped Firoz Khan who is the resident of the same village. When the girl went missing on 30th May, the girl’s father registered a missing person FIR in the police station. When the girl returned home on the evening of 7th June, she narrated her ordeal to her family. The next day, Friday, the girl and her father lodged a complaint against Firoz Khan and his paternal uncle Yusuf Khan for abduction and rape.
Firoz Khan called the girl out of her house on the night of 30th May, and asked her to run away with him. When she refused, his uncle Yusuf Khan grabbed the girl from behind and they took her to the uncle’s home through a jungle route, where she was kept captive for two days.
When word about her disappearance spread in the village, they forcibly put her in a car and took her to Maudaha. After that, they took her to Sumerpur, Kalpi, Ghatampur, Amauli, Jehanabad and many other places. The victim told that both the accused kept raping her the entire time. They also kept pressurizing her for marriage.
The victim told that the accused took her to Kanpur on 7th June with a plan to take her to Delhi. She excused herself to visit the toilet and ran away. Sumerpur station incharge Anvendra Singh said that a missing person complaint was registered on 2nd June in this case. He told that the girl has given a written complaint on 8th June, on the basis of which medical examination, DNA test and slide of the victim have been made. It was said that a case will be filed against the accused after the recording of victim’s statement on Saturday.
