A captain rank officer of Indian Army and his family were assaulted at posh Dwarka locality in New Delhi on May 13, Daily Pioneer and other news outlets have reported.

Vikas Yadav, captain in Special Forces, had gone with his wife, sister, brother-in-law and their three daughters for a dinner at Dwarka City Centre mall.

“We came out of the mall after the dinner around midnight. As our vehicle was parked some distance away from the gate of the mall, I asked my wife, sister and children to stay while my brother-in-law and I wen to get the car,” Yadav said.

A Scorpio SUV stopped near them and five people inside the car started passing lewd comments at the women. When confronted, two of them stepped down and started misbehaving with them.

“My brother-in-law and I reached the spot immediately with our car to rescue them. The goons started punching me. One of them smashed liquor bottle on my head that led to bleeding. They also threatened of dire consequences and raping our women folk,” Yadav said. The security staff saw us and rushed to the spot for our rescue.

The miscreants managed to flee the venue. However, one of them wasn’t able to board the SUV, and the Army officer chased him and nabbed him after running behind him for 2km. Later, he was identified as Mohamad Irshad Ali Hashmi, resident of the same locality.

“They were arrested on May 15 and booked under various IPC sections. Additional sections will also be slapped once the final Medico Legal Certificate (MLC) report come. The SUV has also been seized,” said DCP Shibesh Singh, Dwarka.

But the captain managed to chase down and catch one accused, later identified as Mohamad Irshad Ali Hashmi resident of Dwarka. The other 4 accused were later arrested by the police.

“They were arrested on May 15 and booked under various IPC sections. Additional sections will also be slapped once the final Medico Legal Certificate (MLC) report come. The SUV has also been seized,” said DCP Shibesh Singh, Dwarka.

Army spokesperson Col. Aman Anand said that the incident is unfortunate and the Army will take this up at a higher level. All the accused are currently out on bail.

Moreover, another special forces veteran, Major Poonia has made a disturbing allegation that the SHO of Dwarka Sector 17 police station tried to assist the accused and even mistreated the female family members –

A few days back, we had reported on how a mother living in a posh Gurugram locality was barely able to save her 6-year-old daughter from an auto driver who was trying to kidnap the girl. Such incidents serve as a wake-up call to the urban, well-off Hindus who tend to blindly follow the secular-liberal narrative.

When something like this can happen with an Army captain who stakes his life to protect the country’s borders, the breakdown in our police / law & order machinery and the political correctness which prevents us from openly discussing the religiously-motivated proclivity of a particular community for such crimes, could not be starker.
