Girl Hatches Plot With Boyfriend to Kill Father – Shamli, UP

In a shocking case from UP, a Hindu girl along with her Muslim boyfriend plotted her own father’s death as he was opposed to their relation, police revealed in a press conference on Monday.

Rakesh Ruhela, resident of Dayanand Nagar mohalla in Shamli town, worked as a lab assistant in a college in Loni, Ghaziabad. On 7 April, he was shot dead near his house. After investigation, police found that Rakesh’s daughter Vaishnavi (aka Kavya) had a boyfriend Sameer (s/o Zarif, resident of Hajipura mohalla), and Rakesh was opposed to this relation. The Ruhela household often witnessed fights over this, and it even caused friction between Rakesh and his wife.

Vaishnavi decided to get her father murdered, and she convinced Samir for this. Samir roped in his cousin Shadab (s/o Anees), and on 7 April when Rakesh was returning from the college, the two followed him from the railway station. A short distance away from the house, Shadab shot him with a country pistol.

Police have arrested Vasihnavi, Samir and Shadab and recoverd the murder weapon, another pistol and some live cartridges from them.

  1. When I was young, I knew of a case in our extended family circle of a girl whose Muslim boyfriend came to her house and beat up her father for simply opposing the relationship. Remember this is back in the 1970s. The father did nothing wrong—he just said that she should stay within her own culture. He did not beat his daughter, and in every way behaved in a very “sabhya” manner. Like many Hindus, he was more after education/better job/better future for his children, and those were his major concerns in life.

After the boy beat him, he was broken completely. Hindu girls should understand what their parents go through when they assert their “secular” credentials.
PS: The boy was an arab on top of it. Just imagine what the father went through.
