A garba program organized by local children in Pali, Rajasthan was disrupted by some Muslim youth last Sunday, as per Hindi news reports. The accused first made obscene gestures & molested girls and tried to record their video. When the Hindus objected, the accused started attacking with knives, injuring a 10-year old and 2 others.
Those injured in the knife attack are – Dinesh Goyal (10), Kapil Gurjar, Ranvir Singh Rajpurohit. The accused also assaulted women, injuring one Vidya Devi. They vandalized the festival pandal and threw chairs before fleeing from the spot.
The garba program had been organized by children in Vivekananda Nagar, near Ramdev Road-PNT colony, after collecting small donations. Agitated locals gathered outside the local police station, demanding arrest of the accused, who were all from nearby locality.
Early on Monday morning, police arrested Mohsin (aka Babu, s/o Shakur Khan) and Talib (s/o Idris), residents of Ramdev Road-Durga Colony. Two juveniles were also detained by police.

In another video shared on twitter, the Hindu residents of the area can be seen talking with police. A youth with blood streaming down his face walks by, when someone asks him what happened. He replies, “Muslims have attacked us…we people of the Gujarati samaj were playing dandiya.” A woman says, “They were harassing girls dancing in dandiya ..that’s why this Hindu-Muslim fight erupted.” A man adds, “We organize dandiya here during Navratri. Muslim men come and harass our girls, and when we object they attack us. Muslim boys here do lot of mischief – they do drugs like charas, ganja and steal vehicles…they even dare to enter our homes and assault us.”
