Don Bosco School, Godda, Jharkhand, made the little children wear Islamic caps for celebrating Eid recently. As people saw those pictures of the celebration, many expressed their disagreement over making children wear the Islamic caps without parents’ permission. Soon the pictures were circulated on Facebook and went viral. Many locals from Godda objected to what the school had done :
After the pictures went viral, Don Bosco posted an explanation and apologized if the picture had hurt the sentiments of Hindus :
Don Bosco in Bharat has a wide network of various educational institutions and is also involved in rehabilitation work. It seems to be the largest non-governmental provider of technical education in Bharat. From their own website :
Needs to be noted that minority run educational institutions/ schools face far less regulations than Hindu run schools and are exempt under RTE Act.
