Hindu woman who converted to Islam murdered by husband’s first wife in Moradabad

In a shocking incident, a woman shot dead her husband’s pregnant second wife in broad daylight. Dainik Bhaskar reports that the incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad on Monday evening. The accused Shabana shot dead seven months pregnant Alia, who got married to Jafar about a year and a half ago, with a 9 mm pistol. The people around remained mute spectators and one of them even made a video recording of the incident. Shabana kept circling around the dead Alia until the police arrived and arrested her. It is important to state here that Alia was Mansi Sharma before marriage and converted to Islam to become Jaffar’s second wife.

The incident took place at Vidya Nagar Colony of Civil Line Area where transport businessman Jafar resides with his first wife Shabana. Jaffar’s second wife Alia resides in a rental house close by. One and half years ago Jaffar married Mansi Sharma who converted to Islam and changed her name to Alia.

Shabana was waiting for the right opportunity to exact revenge from Alia ever since she got married to Jaffar. The two ladies used to brawl frequently as well. On Monday evening Alia was returning from the medical store at around 7 in the evening with her niece Muskan when Shabana confronted them. At first, Shabana fired at Muskan but missed the mark. Alia then stepped forward to save Muskan when Shabana fired four bullets at her.

A blood-soaked Alia fell to the ground but Shabana continued talking to her waving a pistol. Alia succumbed to her injuries after some time. According to the police, the 9 mm pistol that Shabana had was the one her husband Zafar had given to her after there had been a theft attempt at their home. However, Shabana, a mother of five, used this to her advantage and began learning to use it by watching YouTube. She got her revenge on Monday. It has been learned that Zafar and his entire family are absconding after the murder. The police officials are on the lookout for Zafar and other family members.
