Girl abducted by stalker, his mother threatens her parents: “will sell your daughter in Bangladesh”

An extremely disturbing case of a minor Hindu girl being abducted by 7 people – including 3 Muslim brothers and their sister – at gunpoint, while she was walking with her father has come to light from Bihar’s Begusarai district.

As per a report in Swarajya, a man was walking with his 15-year-old daughter on the evening of 26 July when a SUV pulled up alongside them. Izmul Khan (alias Nazbul N, alias Aryan) pointed a gun at them and grabbed his daughter. His sister Farat forced the girl to sit inside the vehicle. As the father started protesting, Izmul’s brothers M. Narool Ansari, M. M. Anjum Ansari and others pointed pistols at him and threatened to kill him and his family if he made any noise or told anyone. They added “had it been Pakistan, we would have taken the girl from the house itself.”

Main accused Izmul Khan alias Nazmul had been stalking the minor girl on her way to school for over an year. The father had confronted and warned him last year, but the harassment didn’t stop.

That same evening, the parents of the girl went to Nazmul’s house to try and retrieve their daughter. But Nazmul’s mother Haseena Khatun quickly gathered a mob while abusing and assaulting them. She told the couple that she would “push their daughter into prostitution in Bangladesh” if they don’t leave immediately.

The distressed father informed the police on 26th itself. On 30 July, a man came to meet him and asked for a ransom of Rs 2 lakh to be paid to Haseena Khatun else the girl would be sold off in Bangladesh.

As police were dragging their feet, allegedly because it was a ‘communal matter’, Hindu organisation Bajrang Dal held a dharna outside the police station and FIR was lodged on 30th July for kidnapping, causing hurt, and other offences. SHO of Bachhwara police station told the Swarajya correspondent today morning that ‘police have called the girl’s father for questioning’, and that ‘teams are looking for her.’

A similar case had been reported in July 2018 from Kasganj, UP – there too a Hindu girl was kidnapped at gunpoint by a Muslim stalker and his family, with female family members being complicit in the crime.
