Minor girl gangraped & filmed by 5 Muslims in Moradabad, UP

A 17-year old minor girl was abducted from her home and gang-raped by 5 Muslim men in Kalerkhedi village, Moradabad district, West UP. The rape was filmed by the criminals and sent to the father and relatives of the victim, after the girl refused to be blackmailed. The names of the 5 rapists are Ishaaq, Matloob, Waseem, Shahid and Talib – only one of them has been arrested till now.

According to this media report

“The crime was committed on the night of May 26 when the residents of Kalerkhedi village under Dilari police station, including the father of the 17-year-old girl, had gone to watch an IPL match at a neighbour’s house. The five men abducted the girl, who was alone at her house, at gunpoint, took her to an abandoned house nearby and gang raped her, filming the crime.

“Residents of the village, including the girl’s father, were away watching a cricket match when the crime was committed. The accused filmed the act in order to blackmail and exploit the girl afterwards,” said Dilari SHO Sanjay Tomar, talking to TOI.

“The girl returned home and told her family about the assault. In revenge, the five men uploaded the video online on social media and also sent it to villagers,” Tomar added.

On Sunday, after coming to know of the assault and the video, villagers protested outside Dilari police station demanding immediate arrest of the perpetrators. Police have registered an FIR against the five men, identified as Ishaaq, Matloob, Waseem, Shahid and Talib. They were booked under sections 323 (criminal intimidation), 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) 376 D (gang rape) of IPC, 7/8 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

According to police officials, the traumatised victim has been sent to hospital for treatment and counselling. Superintendent of police, (rural) Moradabad, Sujata Singh, told TOI that the victim and village residents approached the police station after the video was circulated on social media. To escape arrest and repercussions, all the accused and their families have fled from the village.

“We are discussing with senior officials about imposing National Security Act (NSA) against the accused, because the video could have serious implications for law and order across the region,” Singh added.

Gangrape videos going viral on the internet seems to have become the hallmark of UP, with dozens of such cases coming to the fore in recent times. Somvati, the ASHA worker who committed suicide because of such a video, and the 32 year old married woman who was similarly trapped for many years are two recent cases which come to mind.

Why do such a high proportion of rapes involve Muslim men?

The fact that the Muslim rapists had no compunction in sending the video of their gory act to the entire village, shows their complete and utter disregard for the law. As a villager in Chapar village told HinduPost, ““A Muslim can get away even with murder, under the present SP Government”.

The fact that their families fled along with them instead of asking the Muslim men to own up to their crime, tells us that such acts probably have the tacit backing of cross sections of Muslim society, including women – after all, polytheist kaafirs (non-Muslims) are considered sub-human by Muslims, and the fact that Hindu girls do not cover up from head to toe like Muslim women do makes them easy targets for Muslim fanatics. What Muslims hear from their imams, maulvis and Islamic professors only strengthens this outlook –

  • Allah allows Muslims to rape non-Muslim women in order to humiliate them, claims Islamic professor Suad Saleh, from the renowned Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. Al-Azhar is considered the top-most University in the world for Islamic studies, followed by the Deoband seminary.
  • A Muslim cleric’s claim that women who do not wear the veil are like ‘uncovered meat’ who attract sexual predators sparked outrage around Australia.
  • Muslim imam in Sweden claims women who don’t wear hijabs are “asking to be raped”
  • Indian Muslim evangelist Zakir Naik says that the solution to avoid molestation and rape is that women should wear hijab (a veil that covers the head and chest).

This article explains why there are strong historical and theological roots for the fundamentalist Muslim’s view of rape of kafirs as a virtue, not a sin or error.

The message to non-Muslim women is clear – either cover up like we Muslims do, or we will not be responsible for what happens to you. With this background, is it surprising that even modestly clad rural Hindu women in UP wearing sari or salwar kameez look like lusty sirens just ‘asking’ to be raped by Muslim men? Especially when you have a criminal, slothful, corrupt State Government in power that will turn a blind eye to any crime in return for the Muslim vote?

National Media Silent

This utter breakdown of law & order and the absolute terror that has taken root in many Hindu communities of UP, leading to their exodus from places like Kairana, hardly gets a mention in national English and Hindi media. And when some crime is so grotesque that it just cannot be ignored, the actual crime and suffering of Hindu victims is underplayed while the political gamesmanship over it gets most of the attention; unless of course the victim is Muslim such as happened in Dadri – then all hell breaks loose & the outrage muppets are out in full force on the 9 PM talk-shows. This bias is yet another fruit of ‘secularism’.
