The Police in Kannur district of Kerala arrested a a Muslim youth for stealing and selling a cow to the butchers. Police solved the case with the help of rope, cow dung and footprints of the cow. Last Thursday, a black cow from the home of Vatsalan went missing with part of the rope which was used to tie the cow laying on the ground. Vatsalan then complained to the police that his cow was missing.

The police who visited the place found footprints of the cow, leading until paddy field nearby the home of Vatsalan. The police then suspected that the cow might’ve been traffiked. They investigated in nearby slaughterhouses regarding the cow, but could not fetch much details.

When the police contacted the butchers nearby the site, they managed to identify the person who sold the cow to them. As a result of this, 21 year old Ashik was arrested then by the police and he accepted his crime. He said that after stealing the cow, he walked through the paddy field to get rid of the footprints and transported the cow in as vehicle after crossing the field to sell the cow to the butchers.
