Pakistani Refugee Behind Berlin Truck Attack on Christmas Market?

In an apparent terror attack, at least 12 people have died and up to 50 injured after a lorry ploughed into a crowded Christmas market in the German capital of Berlin.

A ‘passenger’, suspected to be the hijacked driver of the truck, was among the dead in the crash at Breitscheidplatz, near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in central Berlin. Police have arrested the driver of the truck and according to a report in the German newspaper Die Welt, the suspect is a newly-arrived Pakistani refugee. Some other reports say that he is an Afghan.

Witnesses said it was not an accident and the lorry had shown no signs of slowing down. One spoke of the vehicle “going through people” and “pulling everything down” as it tore through tables and wooden stands.

In July this year, a 19-ton lorry ploughed into a crowd in the French city of Nice, killing 86 people. That turned out to be an Islamist terror attack carried out by Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year old Tunisian with French residency permit – IS (Islamic State) has claimed responsibility for that attack.

As per breitbart.comIslamic State sympathizers and militants are celebrating the Berlin lorry attack

“The messages, obtained by Breitbart Jerusalem, were posted to a closed chat group that utilizes the encrypted Telegram messaging service. The chat group serves as an internal Twitter of sorts for IS jihadists and sympathizers, and it has been used in the past to issue IS communications.

The messages also celebrated the assassination on Tuesday of Russia’s ambassador to Turkey. That murder, which was caught on video and was perpetuated at a public event in front of witnesses, was reportedly carried out by an off-duty police officer.

The Telegram user who goes by the name of The Army of Osama wrote:

“From the lions of Allah, we send you our hello on your soil which revolted and fought the infidels. Today the infidels are going out shouting and suffering due to the assassination of the Russian pig in Turkey and today there are those who are going out screaming in Germany. They don’t know that this is only a small part of the capacities of the lone mujahedeen and also of the collective worldwide plan to kill all of those infidels who are swimming in the blood of Muslims in Aleppo, Mosul and elsewhere.”

Along with France, Germany seems to a major target for Islamist terror groups. This year has seen several attacks on Germany including shoot outs at shopping malls, stabbings etc. In Europe, almost all major nations – UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain – have been hit by Islamist terror in the last 10 years.

The security agencies in Bharat need to take note of these developments, especially regarding large trucks being used as a weapon for Islamist terror attacks. Jihadis across the world often learn tactics and strategy from each other – the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks by Pakistani ISI & LeT inspired the series of coordinated shootings in Paris in Nov 2015.

When Islamists and jihadis proclaim that they are involved in a worldwide fight against infidels (kafirs), we need to take them seriously. Bharat has been the worst victim of the modern jihad which started around the 1990s in the form of bomb blasts, railway bombings, plane hijackings and crashes, IEDs like pressure cooker bombs, mass shootings, stabbings, suicide bombers and now truck attacks. The threat to Bharat has hugely multiplied since the emergence of Islamic State, as the large number of IS cells busted in Bharat just this year shows.

Again and again we see evidence that Pakistan is the mothership of terror across the world today. The list of Pakistanis or Western citizens of Pakistani origin involved in global terror is long: Times Square, New York bomber – Faisal Shahzad; San Bernardino, California shooting – Syed Rizwan Farook & Tashfeen Malik; 26/11 Mumbai -Tahawwur Rana, Daood Gilani (aka David Headley), Ajmal Kasab and others; London tube bombing -Shahzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain and Mohammed Sidique Khan.

The list of Pakistanis arrested & convicted before they could carry out terror attacks, is staggeringly long, as this page on the South Asia Terrorism Portal maintained by Shri K.P.S Gill (IPS) shows. Truly, ‘Brand Pakistan’ identifies itself with global terror.

With so much evidence at hand of the total radicalization of the Pakistani State and civilian population, why do some elements in Bharat (the country which has been the worst victim of Pakistan-origin Islamic terror) continue to defend Pakistan and advocate ‘talks’? Such elements need to be asked to explain why they are deliberately hiding the truth from the common people of Bharat – whose agenda are they pushing?

All political parties and sections of society need to support Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s bill to declare the Islamic Republic of Pakistan a Terrorist State. This bill speaks of withdrawing economic and trade relations with Pakistan and of creating legal, economic and travel sanctions for its citizens. Unless Bharat takes this step, we have no moral right to ask other countries of the world to act against Pakistan.
