In a sign of growing realization among the masses on how the discourse in this country has been hijacked by certain media houses, intellectuals and leftist academicians, a large number of citizens joined a protest in Pune against the anti-national events organized in JNU on 9 & 10 Feb. At the same time, hundreds of people including ex-servicemen took out a march from Rajghat to Jantar Mantar in Delhi today against the anti-national activities in Jawaharlal Nehru University.
This is the second major instance of spontaneous outpouring of public discontent against biased media coverage – the ‘March For India’ led by Anupam Kher against the fake intolerance debate 3 months back, had also evinced wide support from all sections of society.
Today’s protest in Pune was in the form of a 2km long human chain outside Pune University, where people from all age groups were seen holding hand-written placards and other banners condemning the anti-national happenings at JNU. Similar peaceful protests were organized in other parts of the city as well.
Cries of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ could be heard, with many passer-bys and students stopping to listen and some even joining the human chain to express solidarity.
All sections of society protesting in Pune against JNU anti-national activities
Most people who HinduPost interacted with were of the opinion that while our soldiers are protecting our borders and making the supreme sacrifice while fighting terrorists, some brain-washed students and their elite backers were fomenting separatism and terming anti-national activity as ‘freedom of expression’.
The event ended with a small speech by Dr. Shrirang Godbole, a well-known heart surgeon and writer in Pune –
Dr. Godbole said, “It is regrettable that our university campuses are becoming dens of anti-national activity egged on by forces across the border and selfish politicians within our country. Our territorial integrity is non-negotiable and we will not tolerate any effort to disrupt the unity of the country. We want to show that the youth power of this country is strongly behind Bharat’s unity and integrity. We will oppose all such anti-national forces tooth and nail. We demand that such forces be meted out stringent punishment according to the law.”
Some other participants also made telling remarks exposing the hypocrisy of left-liberals in media and elsewhere over this entire issue. Their videos can be seen in the below playlist –
The event was organized through the efforts of several independent citizen activists. Key organizers were social workers Sanjay Chatur & Avinash Bhajekar, Gauri Deshpande & Preeti Borse from Hindu Women Forum, Sarang Wavde from Baner-Balewadi Citizen’s Forum, Nikhil Karmapuri, Anand Purohit, Pranav Gurav, Srinivas Chidumalla from HinduPost, Shiv Singh from humek, Praful Nikam from Y4D, Abhijeet Varve, Baji Darade from Shivnanda Group, Sanjay Waghurde, Nitin Metkar, Rahul Kokate, Siddarth Shirole, Amol Balvadkar, Vishal Gandhile, Badri, Bijesh Dwivedy, and Chintamini Malgudkar.

At the very right time punekars have united to save Bharat’s Integrity. Now common man have also realised the hypocrisy of media, intellectuals and the leftists. I will say that from now onwards any anti hindu and anti indian activities will not be tolerated in any part of Bharat. This is a clear warning to the leftists
we are now in a very important stage of a bitter struggle against anti-Bharat forces…our enemy is very powerful, and it will take years of awareness campaigns, vigilance and strategic action from those on the side of Dharma to win this battle.
Rightly Said Vikram!!! Unity is the answer that we have to show
