Pro-Khalistani extremist organisations Dal Khalsa and Simranjit Singh Mann-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) have organised a human rights march in Kashmir to observe the World Human Rights Day on December 10. The members of these outfits will be visiting Kashmir to hold a dharna at Lal Chowk in Kashmir against the ‘deemed’ human rights abuses of the Kashmiris.

According to article published on the website sikhsiyasat.net, the said organisations feel compelled to protest against the perceived ‘deteriorating human rights condition’ in Kashmir. As if, the Kashmiri Hindu who were thrown out of their homelands after being persecuted brutally for years were not the neighbours of Khalistanis, or maybe, the Khalistanis did not perceive it to be a human rights violation. After all, what is the value of the life of a Hindu for such bigoted extremists?

Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh urged “human rights defenders” to join the peaceful sit-in at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on December 10. He said teams of both the organisations led by Simranjit Singh Mann and Harpal Singh Cheema would leave for Kashmir from Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur in Punjab on December 9 and intend to reach Srinagar on December 10. “United Akali Dal’s president Gurdeep Singh and Akal Federation head Narien Singh will also join the march,” he added.

Dal Khalsa will also “voice concern” about denial of justice in Punjab in the Maur bomb blast case of 2017, the Behbal Kalan firing case and Bargarhi sacrilege cases of 2015.

Pal also mentioned that they will also highlight the issues of custodial death, illegal detention and harassment of undertrials, the predominance of archaic laws such as 124-A (sedition), Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, denial of relief for political prisoners.

Basically, the Khalistani outfits will use this platform to further their own agenda under the garb of sympathy for the Kashmiris. Though the similarities between Khalistanis and Jihadis must not be ruled out considering the fact that both these groups have a knack for violence and terrorism. We can safely deduce the fact that this unholy alliance between the Khalistanis and Jihadis is natural.

One should also ask these Khalistanis why they never bothered about human rights of Hindus, Buddhists, women, West Pakistani refugees and sanitation workers – all of whom faced either ethnic cleansing or severe discrimination in the erstwhile state of J&K due to Articles 370 and 35A.

To refresh your memory let us remind you of the bombing of Air India Flight 182, where Khalistanis blew up a Indian Airlines flight mid-air bringing about the death of all 329 people aboard. The bombing of Air India Flight 182 is the largest mass killing in Canadian history, the deadliest aviation accident in the history of Air India and was the deadliest act of aviation terrorism until the 11 September attacks on the Twin towers of World Trade Centre in 2001.

Dal Khalsa itself was banned for a decade following several terrorist activities which included many plane hijackings, the most prominent of them being the Hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 423 where the flight from Srinagar to Delhi was hijacked by Khalistanis and taken to Lahore, Pakistan.

The media conveniently avoided mentioning the Khalistani links of these organizations while reporting the December 10 Human Right March in Kashmir. In reports by The Hindu and The Tribune, the media chose to keep silent rather than highlight the ideology of these fringe outfits and their objectives, which is to strive for the Independent State of Khalistan.

Khalistanis seek to secede the current state of Punjab from Bharat to establish Independent Khalistan state embracing the ideas of their slain ideologue and terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindaranwale and hence indulge in a horde of anti-national activities both in Bharat and operating remotely from Canada, UK and other countries.

In a sting operation carried out by Republic TV, Shamsher Singh of the ‘National Sikh Youth Federation’, a front for Khalistani groups, was caught on video declaring wanting to ‘break up India’ by giving a free hand to Naxals, Maoists, and others who have a similar ideology.
