“Seems like Aurangzeb rule has returned” – father of girls molested by Congress supporters in Utambar, Rajasthan

Loud victory celebrations and processions post elections are the norm across Bharat. But in a shocking incident from Utambar, Rajasthan, Congress supporters allegedly crossed all boundaries while ‘celebrating’ their win on the day results were announced last week.

A video has gone viral on social media showing a man pleading helplessly, with folded hands, in front of a police officer and saying in Marwari, a dialect in Rajasthan “इयां लागे औरंगजेब राज आग्यो” (it seems as if Aurangzeb rule has returned). The reason behind his plight was that the winning Congress MLA Ummed Singh’s Muslim supporters barged into his house and molested his 2 daughters. It is said that the molesters even dragged the girls out of their home in an attempt to abduct.

According to Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar’s report of December 14, the Rajput community in Utambar protested in large numbers on Thursday against this molestation. Led by Ex-MLA, Babu Singh Rathore, they marched for 4 km to protest.

The same report also mentions that police has arrested 3 men – Roshan Khan (son of Razzak), Sikandar (son of Iqbal Khan) and Askar (son of Kamruddin) in this case.

The protestors calmed down only after police assured that all the accused will be arrested within 7 days. But they warned that if police didn’t follow through on their promise, they will again come out on the streets for the safety of their women and girls.

Another news website reported on 15th Dec that the 3 arrested were released on bail after furnishing bonds of Rs. 20,000 each.

On 17th December, Dainik Bhaskar reported that 4 more accused -Feroz Khan (son of Huzur Khan), Allabataya (son of Ilamuddin), Rauf Khan (son of Fakir Khan) and Majboor Khan (son of Hamid Khan) – were arrested in relation to this case, taking total arrested thus far to 7. Two jeeps used in the incident were also impounded by the police.

Ignored by national MSM, ‘Fact-Checkers’ try to bury under ‘Fake News’ category

This incident has been predictably ignored by mainstream national media, which is all agog with accounts of Congress’ “revival” under the leadership of eternal youth icon Rahul Gandhi. Hand-picking of CMs by the first family’s inner circle and announcement of massive doles, all this is being celebrated as the advent of some kind of path-breaking politics.

To counter this news spreading through digital & social media, much touted ‘fact checking’ websites (who are nothing but members of the extended Congress family) have tried to muddy the waters by using half-truths.

But this phenomenon is not new. Fundamentalist elements within the minorities know that Congress and other ‘secular’ parties are totally beholden to the minority vote, which is controlled by the fundamentalists with an iron grip. So the moment the secular parties come to power, these radical elements lose whatever little fear they had of law enforcement. Another news site has reported that 3 accused who were arrested in this case have been released on bail

On the contrary, after coming to power BJP caves in to the ‘intolerance rising’ rants of Lutyens’ commentators and stifles even the genuine work being done by its cadre for Hindu society.

Such incidents of brazen assertion were witnessed earlier this year as well after the ‘secular’ parties managed to secure wins in by-elections. In Bihar, alleged RJD supporters beheaded the 70-year-old father of a local BJP leader, while in Bijnor UP, SP supporters thrashed a Muslim BJP supporter and his family.

This is the real face of intolerance.
