Tension Erupts in UP’s Faizganj After Members Of Different Community Try To Kidnap Teenage Hindu Girl

The brazenness of criminals in UP was witnessed by people when some men of Muslim community tried to kidnap a Hindu teenage girl by entering her house. The incident is of Faizganj, Behta station area of Badaun. Some villagers arrived after hearing the cries of the girl and informed the police of the incident. The accused ran away from the site after they sensed that people were coming. Communal tension has flared up in the village as the incident involves people of different communities. Police force has been deployed in the village.

The incident is of Pathakpur village of the area. Victim’s father who is a resident of Pathakpur, told the police in a written complaint that his daughter was returning from the farmland after collecting fodder on 5th June evening, when the incident happened.

The accused who is a resident of the same village grabbed her with malicious intent. He asked her to take Rs 500 and come with her to nearby park. Fearing the accused, the girl started crying for help and the accused ran away. Allegedly, the accused along with his 3-4 friends arrived at the house of the girl later that night and tried to kidnap her. When the girl cried for help, several villagers gathered there for her rescue. The accused ran away from the site threatening the people. The victim’s father has given a written complaint of the incident in the police station. The victim has accused the police of pressurizing the family in the matter. Tension has been prevailing in the village after the incident. Circle officer Bisauli Munnalal said that the incident had come into his cognisance that very day. Police has been instructed to promptly investigate the case and take action.
