UP Forced Conversion: Hindu Man Circumcised after Intoxication, Forced to Consume Buffalo Meat and Read Namaz

A Hindu man from Bhojipura, UP has lodged an FIR against three Muslim brothers for forced conversion to Islam by circumcising him. He has accused them to force him to read Namaz and consume buffalo meat, reports Hindi daily Amar Ujala.

The victim, Mahendra Maurya, resident of Bhojipura, UP, was working as cleaner on a truck in Delhi. He met Furqan, a resident of Sirauli, UP, when he went to Bengaluru in the truck. Coming from the same area, they became friends. The accused Furqan, on pretext of teaching him driving, brought Mahendra to Sirauli.

Mahendra has accused that Furqan, with the help of his brothers Rizwan and Irfan, mixed some drug in his tea which made him unconscious. In such condition, the brothers circumcised the victim. When he got back to his senses, he was informed by them that he has been converted to Islam. When Mahendra protested against it, he was held hostage by the three Muslim brothers. He was subjected to assaults for many days and was forced to eat the buffalo meat and read Namaz.

Somehow Mahendra was able to escape from the captivity and reached Police Station in Sirauli. But Police did not help him and sent him away. On Monday, 10th December, he went to SDM office and complained. Only then his matter was taken up by administrative officials.

When local BJP leaders came to know about it, then they along with volunteers met the CO Alok Agrahari regarding this issue. Then, the Sirauli police also lodged an FIR on basis of the complaint filed by Mahendra, who was then sent for medical tests. The police said that they are finding the accused but they have been absconding.
