If a Hindu girl marries a Muslim boy after converting to Islam “all is well” according to the flag bearers of Indian (pseudo) secularism, but in case of vice versa “all is unsuited”.

Just 6 months ago Hindu Post reported the sad story of a Hindu boy Sourav Mondal who was assaulted and critically injured in West Bengal for marrying a Muslim girl. Now again in the state, a Hindu-Muslim couple who have got married following Hindu rituals in a Hindu Temple are being harassed by West Bengal Police.

3 years ago, on 14th August 2014, a Hindu boy Bibekananda Barik tied the knot in a Hindu temple with Muslim girl Nasrin Khatun following Hindu rituals in Gangasagar area under South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Later, after marriage, father of the bride Sheikh Nur Mohammed filed a kidnapping case against the groom.

Since then police harassment has been started as reported by ABP Group’s Bengali daily news tabloid “Ebela” on their website. The couple also got a death threat from bride Nasrin Khatun’s paternal family, which forced the couple to opt to live in Surat, Gujarat. The couple visit home 1-2 times per year.

Few nights ago, cops of South 24 Parganas district’s Coastal Police Station forcefully dragged Nasrin Khatun from her in-laws house to Police outpost. The husband alleges that police is threatening him in many ways. However, the verdict of Diamond Harbour sub-divisional Court has gone in favor of the couple. After verifying matrimonial documents & bride Nasrin Khatun’s secret deposition, the Court has said in its verdict that adult Nasrin Khatun has willingly got married.

So the question arises as to why WB Police under Mamata Banerjee is so intolerant towards those Hindu-Muslim couples who get married following Hindu rituals & continue practice of Hindu Dharma? Why are our secular-liberal elites not raising this issue?
