“Yogi’s police does not spare criminals” says Moradabad kidnapping mastermind Ashfaq Khan

The mastermind of the infamous Moradabad Dhruv kidnapping case, Mohammad Ashfaq Khan has while confessing his involvement in the crime accepted that the UP police are very strict in tackling crime. The Telangana resident also said that he had sworn not to indulge in any crime in CM Yogi Adityanath’s UP but is paying the price for not keeping his word.

A teary-eyed Ashfaq pleading for his life also said that he had heard how CM Yogi deals strictly with crime and criminals and knew that the UP police would not spare him.

In 2018, Ashfaq had created a Facebook (FB) account with the Hindu name Sweety and befriended Shikha. After chatting for about four months, Ashfaq revealed his true identity to Shikha. But by then their bond had become so strong that Shikha could not leave him.

Furthermore, Shikha was so enamored by the love showered by Ashfaq that she even overlooked the fact that he had cheated. In fact, she was so blinded by his love that she even gave in to his demand to convert to Islam.

As per information provided by SSP Prabhakar Chaudary, Ashfaq is originally from Telangana and was constantly in touch with the woman. On 7th August he arrived at Moradabad and took Dhruv to Ghaziabad in his vehicle. Police have revealed the details of the case on the basis of the video evidence in their hand.

The police have also arrested Ashfaq’s accomplice Imran along with him. Ashfaq had planned to demand rupees 30 lakhs as ransom and escape to Telangana with the money. However, UP police arrested him before he could escape.
