Bharat: Communists and Seculars join forces with Islamists against Hindus

The alliance in West Bengal between Congress, CPM and the ‘Indian Secular Front’ launched by rabid Islamic cleric Abbas Siddiqui is the official death knell of secularism in the country. This seminal event, and a similar alliance between the Communist-Secular combine and another Islamist cleric Badruddin Ajmal in neighbouring Assam, would have dominated the newspaper columns of any country with a sane intelligentsia. But as we know, our elites are so smugly arrogant about their failed ideas and so deep is their anti-Hindu animus that they are blind to this elephant in the room.

But to observers who remember their history, Bengal today stands at the edge, and grim memories of the Direct Action Day 1946 have resurfaced. This piece from Jihadwatch sheds more light on this unholy alliance –

Communist demigod Karl Marx famously said, “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.”

As the Bharatiya state of West Bengal inches towards its legislative elections, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has now joined forces with influential Islamist personality, Abbas Siddiqui. Siddiqui is a cleric from West Bengal’s Muslim-dominated region Furfura Shariff; he was seen praying for the death of 500 million Bharatiyas due to the coronavirus.

In Bharat, Communists have done everything in their power to eradicate the Hindu religion, while working for hand in glove with the Islamists. The Islamists are drunk on their religious sermons and promises of an afterlife — paradise and the amenities it comes with. With their lack of consideration for science, their coalition with the Communists is quite confusing to the casual observer.

The left shamelessly backing the hate-mongering Islamists is not new in Bharatiya politics. A thesis drafted by CPI ideologue Gangadhar Adhikari in 1942 reveals how the Communists had backed the Muslims, claiming that the Hindus would oppress the Muslims in a united independent Bharat, and supported Jinnah’s demand of dismembering the country to form a Muslim nation at both sides of the Bharatiya landmass. This support and provocation, in a way, had led to the ruthless slaughter of countless Bengali Hindus in 1946. The massacre is known as the Great Calcutta Killings or The Direct Action Day.

The barbarous Direct Action Day, a chilling chapter in Bharat’s history, was omitted by our assorted historians, who have aced the art of nefarious distortion.

By 1946, the Muslim League, led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had already made its demand for a separate Islamic nation. Fearing that Hindu domination would frustrate his designs, an insecure Jinnah summoned his fanatical followers and called for “Direct Action” on August 16, 1946.

At noon sharp, the league’s rally, consisting of 30,000 Muslims, commenced from the Shaheed Minar; it was the largest Muslim assembly that Bengal had ever seen up to that day. Muslim leader Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy saw to it that no administrative powers such as the police or military would come to contain what they were about to unleash on the Hindu population of the state.

Riots broke out across the cultural capital and fanatical Muslims began stabbing the Hindus, shutting down their shops, and throwing stones and brickbats at them. Bustling areas of economic importance for the Hindus like Colootolla, Rajabazar, and College Street were their well-contemplated targets. Trucks carrying the attendees of the Muslim League rally, communally charged by the instigating speeches of leaders like Khawaja Nazimuddin pulled over at the Harrison Road, marking the beginning of the dance of death that would continue for days to come.

The next day, a Muslim mob led by the President of Garden Reach Textile Workers’ Union, Syed Abdullah Farooqui, attacked hapless unarmed labourers residing in the mills. About 7,000 to 10,000 Oriya labourers were reported dead.

Fire engulfed the erstwhile British capital; slums, houses, markets were all burned down. The famous Howrah Bridge was packed for days with scared evacuees struggling to escape the slaughter. But only a handful was lucky enough to attain the “high ambition” of staying alive.

The mobs were so violent that even the highly trained British police failed to bring the situation under control for the first 72 hours. Over 100,000 people were displaced forever, and the administration has failed to put an exact number to the lives lost. With every report, the number keeps changing. Calcutta was made to witness a bloodbath it had never seen before and, we may hope, will not experience again.

But the sky above the Bengali Hindu’s head seems to be turning red again. The massive ocean of kufi-wearing attendees that crowded the Brigade Parade Ground last week is dreadfully reminiscent of the gathering at the Shahid Minar some 75 years ago.

Their leader announces that he will free his “motherland” even if it requires blood. A Hindu Bengali shivers. Which motherland is this cleric referring to? They have already taken away Bangladesh. The little strip of West Bengal remaining with Bharat was a land where millions of Bangladeshi Hindus robbed of their homes, riches, families and honour, found a little shelter, a tiny roof, a piece of land to call their own. What does Abbas Siddiqui mean when he says he will free this land with blood?

We hope the world is watching. We hope we never again see another episode of the Calcutta Killings.
