Valley’s Muslims show Famed “Kashmiriyat” on Eid

This is just a picture article. I feel these pictures speak louder than a 1000 words.

Zakir Musa’s supporters in full glory. The flag next to theirs says “Al Jihad” in Arabic. (Image courtesy Deccan Herald)

Multiple banners of international terrorist and JeM head Masood Azhar. This was particularly calculated to incite Indian feelings due to JeM masterminding Pulwama. (Image screenshot courtesy: TV9 Kannada)

ISIS, IS-J&K, and ‘Kashmir will become Pakistan’ posters. Masood Azhar again featured. (Courtesy: Times Now)

There are many other visuals I could gather from various news sources. Youths marching behind ISIS flags, security vehicles ambushed and attacked, and so on. You know, the usual Kashmiriyat we have seen for the past 30 years. We see it daily, we see it during Amarnath Yatra, we see it during Eid. And yet we keep talking about “it” as if it were something else – as if it were the opposite of what these pictures show. Folks, open your eyes, THIS is Kashmiriyat. It always has been.

And by the way, the next time Mehbooba Mufti asks for a Ramzan ceasefire, please show her these pictures of Kashmiriyat, and tell her we don’t buy her bluff anymore.

A religion, like any doctrine, should be subjected to critical examination using facts and reason.
