RSS comes to aid of people during Covid19 lockdown

As the entire nation is in an unprecedented lockdown to control the COVID19 pandemic which is sweeping across the world, several sections of society are facing hardships. As always during the time of crisis, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers are at the forefront of civil society efforts to selflessly lend a helping hand.

RSS swayamsevaks are performing seva (service) like sanitizing areas, providing food & rations to poor and needy, spreading awareness about COVID19 precautionary measures, distributing masks to poor, assisting police and other service providers in states across the country like MP, Odisha, Karnataka, Kerala etc.

In Maharashtra, the RSS-affiliate Jankalyan Samiti has set up ‘Aapda Madat Kendra’ (Disaster Relief Centres) at various locations in Pune and other towns to help different categories of citizens such as senior citizens, labourers, young people staying alone and COVID19 infected patients in isolation wards. These relief centres will provide them essential services during this hour of crisis.

The Samiti will ensure supplies of daily essentials, cooked food and medicines among other things to the above mentioned citizens. To provide these services the Samiti needs funds and has therefore appealed to common citizens to come forward and donate as per their capacity. These donations are eligible to receive deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. RSS Jankalyan Samiti’s Pune Karyavah Ashwini Kumar Upadhye and Pune’s RSS Karyavah Mahesh Karpe have informed that those making remittances are to provide details such as name, address, PAN details, email ID, mobile number and bank through which payment has been made to the Karyakartas in the respective areas who would then ensure that receipts are delivered to the donors.

The bank account details of the Samiti are given below:

Name of Beneficiary: RSS Janakalyan Samiti Maharashtra Prant

Bank of Maharashtra Current account IFSC: MAHB0000041

Account number for Indian nationals: 20057103852

Your contribution is subject to deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. For donations from abroad, contact Shri Ashwinikumar Upadhye, email: [email protected], 9359151050.
