A video claiming to be “Kanjak’s last video” (I have removed the name of the Kanjak, and respectfully inserted “Kanjak” in its place) has appeared on youtube. The video features a girl, with some resemblance to the Kanjak, but wearing a Hijab and singing into a microphone, with headphones on as well. The uploader would have us believe that this is the Kanjak, but a comparison of the two shows immediately that it is not. It is some Kashmiri girl, singing a song.

Now, the song is not any song. It is not a song of love. It is a song of hate, addressed to Mujahids. It exhorts mujahids (a mujahid is a person that engages in jihad) to go forward. It re-asserts the narrative of victimhood of Kashmir, saying that the children of Kashmir are crying under “zulm”. It asks mujahids to pick up Kalashnikovs for them.

That is not all—starting at 1:30, it states explicitly who should be the recipient of this jihadi aggression. Not surprisingly, it is the “Hindu” (not any specific one, just all Hindus). It ends by asking the mujahids to make the Hindus suffer (“Hindu ko tadpaataa jaa”). Her parents/elders (not clear who they are) approve, and the video then ends.

It has received over half a million views thus far. So one cannot easily dismiss it as a crank/inconsequential video that has no influence. Videos of that nature get a few hundred views, not half a million.

Now, one should really object to this type of “riding the wave” on a tragedy in order to put forward a hateful message in the name of an innocent 8 year old victim. Hindu Samaj has, as a whole, asked for justice for the Kanjak. Even the Hindus whose relatives have been picked up by the crime branch consistently demand this, while asking for a CBI inquiry. Yet, our MSM continuously picks on them, calling them all sorts of names. Why don’t they ever mention videos like this one, where explicit calls to make Hindus suffer are made? Why don’t they adopt a more fair approach when it comes to Hindu sentiments?

As a Hindu, I am very upset that a Kanjak was victimized (I cried when I saw the picture for the first time). I was disturbed, and even more so at the possibility that a devasthan might have been the location of the crime. As a Hindu, I am also upset when I see videos such as the above-described. “Hinduon ko tadpata ja”(!?) Why? Those Hindu women that cried when their Kanjak was killed– –unko bhi tadpata ja? Those Hindus (tens of millions) who voiced, privately or publicly, their support for the Kanjak– –unko bhi tadpata ja? A Hindu like me who would not ask a Kanjak’s religion for his Kanjak puja– –mujhe bhi tadpata ja?

And the media remains silent when such provocations are made upon Hindus. It is shameless and disgusting. By and large, Hindu society has reacted with great sympathy and outpouring of love and compassion for the Kanjak. People making such videos should shed their view that Hindus are Kafirs, deserving only of harshness and suffering, and view Hindus as fellow human beings.
