Muslim teachers force Hindu boys to offer namaz in Government-run Mewat residential school

Two Muslim teachers accused of forcing the only two Hindu students of a government-run residential school in Mewat to offer namaz have been suspended while another has been transferred.

A three-member panel, led by the district education officer, has also been constituted by deputy commissioner Mani Ram Sharma to investigate the charges against the three teachers of Mewat Model School in Madhi village. The school has 207 students and is one among several run by the Mewat Development Agency (MDA) for local residents.

Action was taken against the trio — a computer science teacher, an Urdu teacher, and a social science teacher who’s also the hostel warden — after parents of the Hindu students complained to Sharma on July 22.

“Other students in the school have said the three teachers would ask the two Hindu students to abide by Islamic norms and offer namaz. The teachers also often asked the two Hindu students to convert to Islam,” teacher in-charge Naveen Shakti said.

The computer science teacher and the Urdu teacher were suspended on July 28, while the hostel warden has been transferred to another school in Firozpur Zhirka, she added. The school, however, is left with only five teachers now.

Shamim Ahmad, project officer of the Mewat Development Agency, said, “As per the complaints of the parents, action has been taken against the teachers. The truth will come out after the final probe report.”

Other than district education officer Dinesh Shastri, the two others on the probe panel are tehsildar Basti Ram and Ahmad. “We have constituted a committee to carry out investigation independently, but we took action against the three teachers based on preliminary investigation. The matter is sensitive,” Sharma said.

This incident has several disturbing aspects to it which need answering – why has the hostel warden been only transferred and not suspended like the other 2 teachers? Is offering namaz 5 times a day a part of the official schedule for students of this government-run residential school? Are Islamic studies also part of the curriculum, like in a madrassa? Incidentally, Mewat has 79.2% Muslims and 20.37% Hindus as per Census 2011.

The attitude shown by the 3 Muslim teachers is symptomatic of a deeper malaise – Islamic attitudes from a very young age are molded to regard other religions, especially ‘idol-worshippers’ who are not ‘people of the book’ as inferior, ‘jaahil’ (ignorant) and hell-bound. Hence, ‘dawah’ or proselytization of Islam in the manner done by these teachers is looked upon as a good thing by many Muslims.

Earlier this month,  a school affiliated to UP Secondary Education Board in Fatehpur, 200km from Lucknow, was in the news for a diktat to its 1,500 students, from KG to VIII, to read the Bible and their Hindu parents were required to sign a declaration stating that they agree to abide fully with the rules and regulations of the Christian school, where “biblical values” will be taught to their child.

Secularists in Bharat knowingly overlook this very grave danger posed by the supremacist Abrahamic mindset to the fabric of the nation. On the contrary, they have successfully created a false perception of ‘minorities’ being persecuted in Hindu-majority Bharat, which has led to distortions like State-funding of madrassas and Christian institutions like UP Government’s grant of Rs 394 crore to madrassas this year, while Veda Patshalas are largely neglected.

Unless Abrahamic preachers teach the message of mutual respect to their flock, and not just tolerance (which can be construed as a temporary tolerance of Dharmic & tribal belief systems till a more favorable political/demographic situation develops for active Abrahamic proselytizing), and Hindus wake up to the existential threat posed by this Abrahamic mindset and the secularist #IdeaOfIndia, we are heading for inevitable disaster.

  1. These type of nagging of Hindus take place in almost all the Christian Missionaries run schools. Most of the Christian Schools force Hindus not to put bindhis on the forehead and neither vibhuthi nor chandan is allowed for boys in Christian schools. These type of dot busters terrorism should be put to an end. If the intention of these missionaries is to spread education, they can do so.But they cannot force hindu students to act to their whims. If these schools are not interested in offering admission to Hindus, they can openly do so.
