3-year-old nephew of BJP leader Jasbir Singh murdered by Islamic terrorists in J&K

In a heinous terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, Islamic terrorists murdered the 3-year-old nephew of BJP leader Jasbir Singh in a grenade attack on his home. The family has alleged that they had been receiving regular death threats and had informed police, but adequate protection was not provided to them.

The attack happened in Khandli area of Rajouri district of the Union Territory on the night of August 12. Seven members of the family were injured in the attack, and the child Veer succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the government medical college hospital in Rajouri around midnight.

The incident triggered protests by locals and the BJP leader’s kin who alleged the family was not provided enough security.

Speaking to Aaj Tak, Veer’s father Balbir Singh said people had been demanding a police post in the area which was not provided. Also, whenever a police team was sent for patrolling, it was seen that some men would skip their duty and go home. He said that they had sacrificed Veer, whose name means ‘brave’. The child loved going for flag hoisting, and would often say ‘Bharat Mata ji Jai’, ‘Jai Sri Ram’.

While the Hinduphobic Lutyens’ intelligentsia sheds tears for the loss of ‘civil liberties’ (read as loss of freedom to pelt stones at security men, and carry out mobile-coordinated violent protests and mayhem)  in J&K after abrogation of Article 370, the reality is that Islamic jihad is still being waged in the region and Hindus are still nowhere near safe, even in Jammu. BJP workers, especially, have a target painted on their backs. Over a dozen BJP leaders and workers and elected representatives such as Panchayat members have been murdered in the last year or so, but not one of them has been mourned by left-liberals who otherwise decry ‘death of democracy’.

On Monday, a BJP leader and sarpanch (village head) was gunned down along with his wife, a ward member, in South Kashmir’s Anantnag. The Personal Security Officer (PSO) tasked with guarding the couple was absent when the terrorists (whom our mainstream media prefers addressing with the watered-down term ‘militants’) struck.
