Left-liberal Taliban apologists create a narrative glorifying terrorist groups

As the terrorist outfit Taliban takes control of Afghanistan, the left-liberal cabal in Bharat is now making a case for the Taliban in an attempt to create a narrative showing them in a positive light or as “reformed” people. As is their wont, the cabal wants us to believe that the Taliban is not what it was two decades ago.

Among the usual suspects is Sudheendra Kulkarni, a neo-liberal who was with the BJP earlier, who was all praises for former diplomat MK Bhadrakumar’s article glorifying the terrorist outfit.

Here are some from Bhadrakumar’s opinion piece on Taliban 2.0:

The regime change is still playing out sedately and it may take days or even weeks before its final contours emerge in the form of a transitional government. There are signs that the victor is amenable to persuasion to accept a consensual outcome…

…There have been no Taliban visits to Saudi Arabia for years now. The Taliban is asserting its traditional Islam and Shariah

…The paranoia in certain circles in India about the “spillover” from Afghanistan is unwarranted. The Taliban has an exclusively Afghan-centric agenda. They are old-fashioned “nationalists”. It is simply inconceivable that once ensconced in power, the Taliban will play a subaltern role to any regional state. On the contrary, the Taliban’s “Afghan-ness” will inevitably surge as a robust sense of independence and “strategic autonomy” in statecraft. They will be interested in friendly relations with India.

While Bhadrakumar asserts that the Taliban has changed for the better, Afghan nationals are fleeing in fear. Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan’s granddaughter Yasmin Nigar Khan says “Taliban can’t be trusted. They might say something now & do something else the next day”.

Afghan nationals living in Bharat have confirmed that their relatives back in Afghanistan are scared. Although the Taliban spokesperson has denied the charges, reports state that a 21-year-old female was shot dead by the Taliban for not wearing a veil.

Commanding Officer of ITBP troops in Afghanistan Ravi Kant Gautam said The situation is bad in Afghanistan but we managed to successfully evacuate our people, which is a matter of pride for all of us. Our troops have not slept for 3-4 days. We will sleep comfortably tonight”

Taliban contrary to its promise of respecting women was seen indulging in acts such as defacing images of women of a beauty salon. The sale of burqas has increased and its price has skyrocketed 10 times. So while people on the ground, as well as the Taliban’s actions itself, have affirmed that the Taliban grabbing power is bad news, a former diplomat and his left-liberal cheerleaders want us to believe that the Taliban has reformed.

Bharatiya Islamists, on the other hand, have hailed and espoused the rise of the Taliban. Samajwadi Party MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal Shafiqur Rahman Barq, on Tuesday, sought to legitimize the terrorist outfit by comparing their capturing Afghanistan to Bharat’s freedom fighters ousting the British. Barq opined that Talibanis have only recaptured their own lands adding that the Taliban wants to free its country and run it.

AIMIM leader Owaisi said that Bharat should have held talks with the Taliban. “India should have had a dialogue. We should have opened some sort of informal or formal talks with the Taliban. We lost time. For the last seven years, the Modi government failed to read what was happening” opined Owaisi.

The Islamist Peace Party was joyous at the Taliban’s victory and congratulated the terrorist organization for entering Kabul. Times Now quotes the party’s chief spokesperson as saying:

On the auspicious occasion our #IndependenceDay we got information that #Talibans entered #Kabul Peacefully. We congratulate them and hope they will run govt as per Ahkam e ilahi nizam e Mustafa where any discrimination didn’t have place. We believe in peace &justice.

There were also the usual suspects of the left-liberal cabal such as Arfa Sherwani, LTTE apologist Meena Kandasamy, Swara Bhaskar, and other Hindudveshis who were making false equivalences between the Taliban ideology and Hindutva only because they needed an excuse to legitimize the Islamic terror outfit.
