1000+ converted to Islam in UP and Delhi by two accused arrested by UP ATS

UP Police has arrested two persons of a conversion racket, who were targeting non-Muslims for conversion to Islam. These have been accused of converting more than 1000 people in past few years through variousĀ  illegal means and allurements.

The accused are named Mufti Kazi Jahangir Alam Kasmi and Mohammad Umar Gautam, both residents of Jamia Nagar, National Capital Territory of Delhi. Muhammad Umar Gautam had converted to Islam from Hindu Dharma many years ago.

The press release by the Anti Terrorist Squad(ATS) of UP Police says that they had received information that some anti-national religious organisations were involved in radicalising and converting people. These organisations allegedly got funds from ISI, the Pakistani spy agency, and were doing hateful propaganda against the original religion of the people and were also involved in organised crime.

They have been booked under various sections of IPC and also under the 2020 anti-conversion law of UP. The organisation run by Muhammad Umar Gautam, Islamic Dawah Center(IDC) is also under the radar of the ATS.

Activities of the accused

Apparently the accused targeted non-Muslims, who were differently abled, women, children and persons from other weaker sections. Umar Gautam has confessed to converting about one thousand persons and getiing them married with Muslims. He was getting a lot of funds, from within the country and outside the country, for conversion work at his Jamia Nagar based organisation.

The ATS release has the names of Aditya Gupta and Mannu Yadav, who used to study at the Noida Deaf Society. Both these persons were converted to Islam without even informing their parents and in case of Aditya, he was abducted and taken to somewhere in southern part of Bharat. His parents had even filed an FIR in Kanpur after he went missing and came to know of reality only after Aditya somehow reached them through video call.

According to the ATS, they used to lure their targets with promises of money, jobs or marriage and also by using psychological pressure tactics. They used to make them hate their previous religion and motivated them to accept Islam. They specially focused on Hindu girls and many Hindu girls from all over the country have been converted and married off with Muslims. They also used to organise conventions of such converts from time to time.

The danger to Hindus

The demographic danger to Hindus is often downplayed by the Islamists and Missionaries. However, arrests like this should rouse the Hindus. We are facing thousands of assaults daily on Hindu society. From the conversion factories of PFI in Kerala, to Missionary organisations in Andhra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and all over the country, Hindu Dharma is under assault.

A small time Muslim missionary has converted thousands in last few years. He was operating in the heart of Delhi in Batla House, Jamia Nagar. This place has always been on the radar of intelligence agencies due to high concentration of Muslim extremists, including terrorists in this area. This area has Shaheen Bagh, Batla House, Jamia university, PFI headquarters and has various publishers and sellers of Jihadi literature in close vicinity. If Umar Gautam could successfully operate for years from such an area, what can be said about the areas where agencies might not reach?
