Sri Dilip (Jay) Lakhani, a theoretical physicist and founder of the popular Hindu Academy, an organisation dedicated to the promotion of a comprehensive and rational vision of Hindu Dharma, passed away peacefully on 4th December in UK.
Sri Lakhani was an inspirational figure for lakhs of Hindus across the world, and especially for those living in UK. Hindu Academy’s website and YouTube channel are a treasure trove for Hindus of all ages, with offerings like e-learning courses for school students, e-books (downloadable PDFs), Q&As, videos etc.
Tributes and condolence messages poured in from Hindus and Dharma-followers across the world-
Lakhani Ji had a great contribution in removing the misconception about Hinduism among Westerns & Indian alike. He was an Enlighted soul who like a Lamp spreading light of Hinduism driving away the darkness that has been enshrouded around Hindu beliefs and traditions.

he contributed so much and in a humble way to the cause of Sanatana Dharma which is ultimately the cause of humanity.
it is us who feel sorry. i am sure he is blissful.
Jay (aka Dilip) was my neighbour in Dar in early 60's. Later in UK we both lived in the same city - Birmingham, before moving to London.

Born intellectual....he has done so much to promote Hinduism in UK.
Pity that #BBC never gave him chance he deserved.

You have been a go to person to many of my office conversations to explain about Hinduism in English. I am sure you will enlighten the heavens as well with your insightful thoughts, with your iconic gesture of putting on & removing spectacles 🙏🏽
Jay Lakhani ji influenced me a lot when I was rediscovering my Hindu roots after being an Athiest for a few years. I am grateful to him for helping me and many like me to understand our Sanatana Dharma.

May his Aatman attain Sadgati 🙏 Thoughts with his entire family. https://t.co/2fj9loW97n
A theoretical physicist,, Dr Lakhani's passion was to bring to all Hindus (from school children to scientists) the truth of Hindu dharma. (1) “Hinduism for schools” (Vivekananda Kendra, London), (2) Reincarnation Myth Or Reality? https://t.co/rHtsanNEYL 65 mins https://t.co/f80r60RSMY

Shocked and saddened by the untimely demise of Jay Lakhani ji. He was a Hindu scholar, who also taught Hinduism at the prestigious Eton College. His service to the Hindu community, especially in UK was stellar. Deepest condolences to his family. ॐ सद्गति 🙏🏻@hinduacademy https://t.co/dB0g72DevX

We were blessed to have him as our first teacher, online, on a structured introduction to our spiritual path. We even had the opportunity to meet him in person. An unforgettable moment of sheer joy. We pray for him, and that many more emerge to teach Hinduism online to millions. https://t.co/vxjgwlSEnf

I love Mr. Lakhani and his lectures. Who said that he is dead? His body just passed away, but his eternal presence is one with Brama after he successfully completed his sacred mission on this plane of reality. I feel immense gratitud for his life and service to mind kind and, in particular, for my personal growth in the spiritual journey.
Thanks to his YouTube channel, I had the opportunity to increase my knowledge and love for Hinduism and the path of Self Realization. Mr. Lakhani is forever alive. Pedro Méndez
