Cow smugglers (aka ‘dairy farmers’ for left-liberals) have again managed to spread terror in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan by opening fire on villagers in two separate incidents on Monday night, reports news outlet News18 Hindi.

In the first incident, over a dozen armed cow smugglers were loading a half dozen cows in a pick-up truck on the parikrama (circumambulation) route of the famous pilgrimage site, Tirthraj Vimal Kund, in Kaman town. When villagers protested, the smugglers opened fire on them. The panicked villagers fell back, and luckily no one was shot. After that, the cow smugglers threatened the villagers and fled from there. But in their haste, they left a calf with legs tied up on the spot.

After the firing, the villagers informed the police but they reached the spot after one hour. Locals allege that the police made no effort to give chase or set up roadblocks to arrest the smugglers. Agitated villagers gathered at the spot and protested against Kaman police.

The other incident happened in Deeg’s Januthar town. Here too, cow smugglers managed to steal cows while firing on villagers.

Bharatpur district is adjacent to the Mewat region of Haryana, which is the epicentre of the cow smuggling and beef mafia. Several incidents of cow smuggling are reported on routine basis from Bharatpur, with smugglers opening fire on police and villagers being a common occurrence.

However, the only time such incidents make it to national news is when a cow smuggler gets killed in retaliatory action by villagers or police. In November last year, cow smuggler Umar Khan, resident of Pahari village in Bharatpur, died in a shootout with villagers in Alwar. The case was widely covered by MSM, and Umar Khan was presented as a ‘cattle trader’ or ‘dairy farmer’, with the leftist propaganda outlet The Wire even claiming that he was transporting ‘pet cows’

Even after it was found that Umar Khan had a history of cow smuggling, the propaganda did not stop. Family members of Umar Khan took out a ‘justice march’ to Rajasthan CM’s residence, and civil society groups like PUCL (People’s Union for Civil Liberties) demanded Rs 25 lakh compensation and government job for Khan’s family.

Note: We have used the term ‘dairy farmers’ in the headline for this article to bring attention to the usual spin given by left-liberal propagandists whenever cow smuggling related incidents occur.
